Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic it has been been decided that all trail hunting activities by the Hurworth Hunt will be suspended for two weeks.
We can assure you that this decision has not been taken lightly by the Hurworth Masters and Chairman.
The majority of our Country is in now in Tier 3 and all Hurworth trail hunting days have been carried out in line with Covid compliant guidance from the Hunting Office. However with rates of Covid-19 infection rising rapidly, and increased strain being placed on the NHS, it is imperative that we do our best to protect the health of our supporters and of the rural community that support & surround us.
The Masters and Chairman will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and shall circulate an update regarding the remainder of the 2020/21 trail hunting season in due course.
We know this is disappointing news, however we hope that you will all understand and support this decision.
